Paligkremnos beach is the bigger beach of Plakias and the most central one. It is organized with sun umbrellas in many parts and some of the beach bar can stay open until late for drink.

Gavdiotolimano (because many years ago, the people from Gavdos were arriving at this beach to trade) or Limanaki (small port), is located at the far end of the center of Plakias. It's an organized pebble beach with sunbeds. The coast has rocks/pebbles/sand and the sea is ideal for snorkelin. On the top of the beach you can find restaurants and bar.

Fotinari beach is located on the west side of Plakias, after the Plakias new port and before Souda beach. It's one of the last beaches on the area without sunbeds or beach bar.

Souda beach is the second bigger beach of Plakias area. Is located on the west side and it's well organized with sunbeds in some parts of the beach. There are also beach bar and restaurants immediately on the road over the beach. Inside the water there is rich sea life for snorkelin.

Damnoni beach is located 2 km on the east of Plakias. It is a touristic center with a big sandy beach. The beach is organized with sunbeds and on the road over the beach you can find restaurants and bars.

Ammoudaki beach is located immediately after Damnoni beach and before Ammoudi beach. There are umbrellas and a beach bar on the top of the beach.

Immediately after Ammoudaki you can found Ammoudi beach. There are sunbeds, umbrellas and shower and there is a snack bar on the top of the beach.

After some distance after Amoudi you can find the beach of Shinaria. The beach is organized with sunbeds and shower. There are bar‐restaurant on the top of the beach, near the road.
